Fishing Report
As of July 8, 2008
Fishing continues to be strong with good catches of Chinook averaging 12-25 lbs being found at the Lighthouse, the Hump and north of Seymour Narrows. Fishing is gaining momentum from Brown’s, Deepwater and Green Sea Bay and Chatham Point. As part of your fishing trip we can drop crab traps or prawn traps, depending which direction we are fishing.
Over the next couple of weeks we will see more Coho, Pinks and Sockeye to go with the already strong Chinook Salmon fishery. Let’s not forget the opportunity for Lingcod and rock cod!

June is off to a great start with a consistent population of Chinooks averaging 12-25lbs in the area. We have been finding fish at the Lighthouse, the Hump, over to Cortes and down towards The Alders. We are dropping prawn traps with great success along the back side of Quadra over to Marina and Cortes Islands. Wrap up a great day fishing with fresh prawns dipped in garlic butter!
North of the Narrows, we are also catching 12-17lb fish over the last couple of weeks and good catches of nice big Dungeness Crab. With the first of June comes the long awaited opening of Lingcod & Rock Fish which adds an increased variety to a great day on the water.
Salmon fishing, prawning, crabbing and/or bottom fishing – the choice is yours. We look forward to sharing with you with the thrill of the catch!

Fishing in February? Sure, why not! Winter fishing at the moment concentrates on dropping prawn and dungeness crab traps, and fishing for winter spring salmon, also known as chinook salmon, and sometimes refered to as king salmon. It's always comfortable fishing on a covered boat, so why not try your luck at winter fishing?
